Bethany Labrinos, Associate
Bethany represents companies, financial institutions, and individuals in complex litigation and white collar matters at all stages—from initial investigation to discovery, motion practice, negotiation and structuring of potential resolutions, trial, and appeal. Bethany recognizes that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to successfully managing legal challenges, so she prioritizes understanding her clients’ unique needs and the industries (including the regulatory climates and geographic markets) in which they operate to deliver results that advance their big-picture objectives. Bethany’s practice spans a broad array of subject areas—including products liability/mass tort, securities, consumer protection, antitrust, environmental protection, shareholder/corporate governance, fraud and the FDCA, as well as related governmental and internal investigations.
Before joining Bourelly, George + Brodey, Bethany worked as a litigation associate at the New York office of an international law firm. There, Bethany was part of the team representing a global health technology company in its sprawling litigation across the globe relating to the largest medical device recall in history—including consumer class actions, personal injury lawsuits, shareholder litigation and related regulatory inquiries—which resulted in a favorable, global settlement. Bethany also represented one of the world’s largest automobile manufacturers in antitrust litigation, where she was instrumental in achieving a grant of mandamus from the Fifth Circuit vacating the district court’s denial of dismissal. She also provided advice to those at the highest level of the company regarding mitigation of future regulatory and private litigation exposure. Additionally, Bethany has a talent for handling highly sensitive internal investigations. For example, she helped manage an investigation of a leading global financial institution regarding shareholder claims concerning reporting deficiencies and mismanagement by the board.
Bethany lives in New York with her husband and daughter.
